ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

1. GENERAL CATEGORIES


Poster Categories:

  • Physicians
  • Multidisciplinary (nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, pharmacy, radiology technicians/technologists)

Field of Study:

  • Oncological Intervention
  • Embolization
  • Endovascular Surgery
  • Interventional Neuroradiology
  • Non-oncological Percutaneous Intervention
  • Multidisciplinary

Type of Study:

  • Category A: Case Report
  • Category B: Case Series / Educational Review
  • Category C: Clinical Study / Experimental Study


2. SUBMISSION RULES


  • Abstracts must be submitted in a Word-compatible format, typed in Arial font, size 12, double-spaced.
  • Each abstract must include two separate Word-compatible files, to be uploaded in the submission system:
    • File 1: Title Page – must include the full title, list of authors, corresponding author, institution, and compliance statement. [Download title page template]
    • File 2: Abstract Body – must include references and any images/figures/tables. This file must NOT contain any identifying information (authors or institution).
  • A maximum of 10 authors per abstract is allowed.
  • Author names, institutional affiliations, or any identifying data must not appear in the abstract body. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification of the submission.

The author submitting the abstract must be registered for the event. However, payment is not required at the time of submission and can be made after the abstract is accepted.

Case Reports / Case Series (each item will be graded):

  • Introduction
  • Objective
  • Case Description
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

Educational Reviews (each item will be graded):

  • Introduction
  • Objective
  • Literature Review
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

Clinical / Experimental Studies (each item will be graded):

  • Introduction
  • Objective
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

Word and Figure Limits:

  • Case Reports / Case Series: up to 500 words and 6 figures/tables
  • Educational Reviews: up to 750 words and 12 figures/tables
  • Clinical / Experimental Studies: up to 1,000 words and 6 figures/tables

All approved abstracts will be presented as electronic posters, including those selected for oral presentation.



3. EVALUATION RULES


  • Each submitted abstract will be reviewed independently by five SOBRICE full-member interventional radiologists.
  • The final score for this first evaluation phase will be calculated using the simple average of the three intermediate scores, excluding the highest and lowest scores.
  • This score will account for 60% of the final grade.
  • The top 6 abstracts in the Clinical / Experimental Study category and the top 4 abstracts in the Case Report / Case Series / Educational Review categories will be selected for oral presentation (max duration: 6 minutes – strictly enforced).
  • Oral presentations will undergo a second round of evaluation by a panel of SOBRICE full-member interventional radiologists.
  • This evaluation will account for the remaining 40% of the final score.
  • Awards will be granted to:
    • The top 3 abstracts in Category C: Clinical / Experimental Study
    • The top abstract in Categories A and B: Case Report / Case Series / Educational Review
    • The top abstract in each area (Oncological Intervention, Embolization, Endovascular Surgery, Non-oncological Percutaneous Intervention, Interventional Neuroradiology, and Multidisciplinary)
